Thailand from India: A Bangkok & Pattaya Guide for First-Timers
25 September 2026 By Exporio Holidays Travel Desk
Bangkok and Pattaya are the most popular first international trip from India: short flights, great food and plenty to do in 4–6 days.
Visa for Indian travellers
In recent years Thailand has allowed Indian passport holders visa-free entry for short tourist stays. Rules change, so check the current requirement before you fly; you'll need a passport valid for at least 6 months, a return ticket and your hotel bookings.
What a Bangkok–Pattaya trip covers
- Pattaya: a speedboat to Coral Island (Koh Larn) for beaches and water sports, and the Alcazar cabaret show.
- Bangkok: Safari World and Marine Park, temples such as Wat Arun and the Grand Palace area, and shopping at Pratunam, MBK or the night markets.
Which package to pick
- 4 days: Bangkok Pattaya with Coral Island from about ₹20,000.
- 5 days: Pattaya Bangkok with Coral Island & Safari World from about ₹23,500.
- 6 days: Pattaya Bangkok 6 Days 5 Nights from about ₹26,500, or the 6 Days Thailand package from India.
Best time to visit
November to February is cool and dry, which makes it peak season. March to May is hot; June to October brings showers but lower prices.
Tips
- Exchange some baht before you leave and use ATMs or cards in the city.
- Dress modestly for temples (covered shoulders and knees).
- Indian vegetarian food is easy to find in both cities.
- Get travel insurance; it isn't usually included in packages.
