Bali for Indian Travellers: Visa, Best Time & a 5-Day Plan
23 September 2026 By Exporio Holidays Travel Desk
Bali is a favourite for honeymoons and friends' trips: temples, rice terraces, beach clubs and good-value villas, all a single connection away from most Indian cities.
Entry requirements
- Indian passport holders can get a visa on arrival (an e-VOA can be applied for online before travel). Check the current fee and rules before you fly.
- Bali also charges international visitors a one-time tourist levy, which can be paid online in advance.
- Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months.
A 5-day plan
- Day 1: arrive and relax in Kuta or Seminyak, with sunset at a beach club.
- Day 2: Ubud: the Tegallalang rice terraces, the Monkey Forest and the art market.
- Day 3: Kintamani's volcano views, or a Mount Batur sunrise trek if you're up for it.
- Day 4: Nusa Penida day trip for Kelingking Beach, or water sports at Tanjung Benoa.
- Day 5: Uluwatu Temple and the Kecak fire dance at sunset, then fly home.
Our Bali Tour Package 5 Days 4 Nights is built around this plan. Prices depend on your hotel or villa choice, so ask us for a quote for your dates.
Best time to visit
April to October is the dry season and the best time for beaches and treks. November to March is wetter, but greener and cheaper.
Tips
- Use a driver for day trips, as traffic between areas can be slow.
- Carry a sarong for temples (often available at the entrance).
- Book Nusa Penida trips early in peak months.
